This is the protractor group and the group consists of James Josh and Jamie a protractor means a measuring tool to measure angles
we are all 11 and have a level d in maths this group has been made for solving problems and other things that are mainly the same

This week we were doing shape which was fun. we were doing technical shapes like octahedrons and pentagonal prisms, this was done in a cool way as we used the miniature whiteboards. earlier this week some of the kids watched a presentation on shape and taught the other kids who didnt watch it. they then taught the kids who didnt watch it the shapes that they learned about. we had a compitition to make as much marbles as possible
there was a football problem we solved that was easy enough for josh to solve it.
I am Jamie and I am the tallest student in the school. I enjoy basketball and skateboarding. I enjoy all urban sports and I sometimes like football. Another person in our group is James. He was doing his level d and is now working with us.
the third person in our group is Josh. He enjoys playing his PS2 and rollerblading. He is a big fan of games like GTA San Andreas and Scarface. The sports James is into is climbing and rugby and sometimes skateboarding. Jamie is teaching him new tricks like ollies and bert slides.
We have been working in a different way in maths which includes using MP3 players and working colabrativly we all enjoy it and think its great fun. It helps us think of different stratagies and helps our minds think in different ways. The new ways we have thought of many different ways to find the answer and I find that it improves your maths a lot quicker.
on the fraction frenzy jamie scored an amazing 27520.
We have done a chart about bullying the stuff we were doing it about was where it happens and everything that the bullies do to the other people. We done two types of charts the one we found the easiest was a bar chart . We went round the classes we started with primary three and went all the way up to primary seven and we got an estimate of how many people were bullied.
THIS WEEK
This week we learned about measuring angles with protractors. We had a sligt problem with the reflex angles as we didnt have a 360 degree protractor. Instead we had to measure it the an other way and took the angle of 360 we all eventually got the hang of it and eventually got faster and faster.
